HORSES DON’T STOP, THEY KEEP GOING
The pages consist of three projects to start and teaching work as the fourth and final project. Each spread was designed both as a portfolio spread and a floor plan. In this case, a grid was very helpful and allowed the pages to play with one another as you flip through them. The essential concept was to design an experience for someone who looks at many portfolios, and each for thirty seconds or less. The allotted time is maximized by reaching for a non-existent spacial dimension through planimetric design.
I tailored, adjusted, and finetuned this document for a variety of things, and all the other phrases that go along with those. There was never any payoff for any of these highly specified versions of this portfolio, but the generic one titled ‘Work Sample’ did something eventually.
