TAUBMAN ARCHITECTURE BALL
Maybe the best thing you can do as a person is give something back to the people around you. The first architecture ball was an attempt to do so. It was an attempt that brought together hundreds of people in service of architecture, an attempt that led to many sleepless nights, and an attempt at beginning a new tradition.
Students worked on installations, disco balls, decorations, grant applications, destructive acts, drink menus, extensive budgeting, posters, catering orders, DJ sets, costumes, making a mess, inflatables, programs, mini golf courses, GANTT charts, entrance sequences, dance rooms, scenographies, bathroom parties, what dress to wear, clean up, etc. etc. etc.
“Frameworks” was the theme. That just meant do whatever you want and do it again better next year. There were too many people to name that helped.
